Performed on double basses by Giovanni Paolo Maggini of Brescia in 1610 (K. Stoll); by Antonio Mariani, in 1667 and also, by Giovanetti de Lucca, in 1839 (F. Witt); by Matthias Albanus (W. Kohly).
Previously released on analog discs as: Kontrabassquartett der Berliner Philharmoniker (Camerata: CMT-1013, p1979) and as: Virtuose Kammermusik (Telefunken: 6.42527, 1981).
